I think I can smell gas — what should I do?
Treat it as urgent. If it's safe to do so, turn the gas off at the meter, open windows and doors to ventilate, and avoid anything that could create a spark — don't switch lights or appliances on or off, and don't use a naked flame. Then get everyone out and call us straight away on 0421 188 367.
Do I really need a licensed gas fitter to install a cooktop?
Yes. Connecting any gas appliance is licensed work — it's both illegal and dangerous for an unlicensed person to do it. A correctly installed and tested appliance protects your home and keeps any manufacturer warranty valid.
Are you licensed for gas work?
Yes. JGH Plumbing carries the appropriate plumbing and gas licensing for the work we undertake, and we carry out and test every gas job to the relevant standards.
Can you install or move a gas point for a new appliance?
